The Six Key Steps to a Decorative Epoxy Floor

Step 1- Preparation of floor
Floor is washed and all contaminants are removed.

Step 2- All cracks are filled and leveled All cracks are filled and are ground back to an appropriate surface.

Step 3- The floor is coated with selected backing colour
The first coat epoxy two-pac is applied in the colour chosen by customer. The second coat is applied to get required build up of the membrane and to obtain full opacity of backing colour.

Step 4- Epoxy Fleck coating is applied
Once the second coat of epoxy is applied, as well gaining appropriate opacity, it is also a desired surface for the application of decorative Fleck.

 

 
Step 5- Final protective coatings
Once appropriate preparation is completed a two-pac protective clear coating is applied. This is a minumun two coat system.
Step 6- The finished product
Once this process been completed you will end up a chemical, acid and oil resistant finish, that is durable, and high wearing surface and will keep its decorative look for many years.
